I have a stretch of lawn 12' wide X 100' long. I also have a greyhound who likes to run the length, turn around, and run back again. She really tears up the lawn on both ends as she slows down to turn and take off again.

I need to re-seed or re-sod most of this strip and want to know if there is a hearty grass that can support this kind of rough treatment in the Boston area.

i was bored once and i put the zoysia in a curved leaf, filled it up on the leaf. closed the leaf and sniffed it like 6 times, with big inhales. i stopped once these people thought i was sniffing marijuana. so this isn't good to sniff, because it gave me a leafy feeling in my throat, and it gave me a headache. i understand it was stupid to do, but don't do it. it isn't a drug, but it can get you sick. plus it isn't even addicting. it just has some good flavor to it. thats all, later.

I live in a rural area and have livestock. I would love to have zoysia in my lawn but I'm concerned that it's ability to spread would damage my pasture grasses. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Zoysiagrass is a personal favorite of mine. If you are in the right climate as you point out, it can be a dream grass with so many positives it is hard to believe. I wouldn't recommend starting a lawn with plugs though because it spreads so slowly.
